Prematch – Away to Aston Villa
The first game of the season sees BWFC travelling down to Villa Park. I have mixed views about this opening game. I would like to think that Bolton can start the season with 3 points. The team is nearly complete with only one suspension and one injury to worry about. Bruno N’Gotty is suspended following his red card at the end of last season (against Everton). It is expected that Radhi Jaidi will take N’Gotty’s place in central defence.
Meanwhile Fadiga is out due to a knee injury which I hope is not serious. I have dodgy knees so he has my sympathy. A third player who is not expected to play is Jared Borgetti, according to the Wanderers official website he’s being ‘rested’ — bless.
Villa have doubts with Patrik Berger who will be facing a fitness test before it is decided whether he will play against the Wanderers or not – let’s hope not. Mark Delaney is out with a knee injury (no sympathy this time).
