UEFA Cup, 1st Round Fixtures

UEFA Cup LogoBolton’s first ever UEFA Cup tie will be on September 15, 2005 (which is a Thursday) at The Reebok Statium. This will be the first leg of the first round against Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

The second leg will probably have to be moved as the Plovdiv do not have a licensed stadium. This game is due to be played on Thursday, September 29 and is likely to be played in the Black Sea city of Bourgas.

A spokesman for Plovdiv said, “There is another option – if UEFA decides to move the matches between Levski Sofia and Auxerre and CSKA Sofia and Bayer Leverkusen, we will be able to play our match in Sofia which is 100 mile trip from Plovdiv.
