Jussi Linked With Arsenal

Another day, another rumour.

This time it has been reported in The Mirror (so it must be true !) that Bolton’s wondrous goalkeeper, Jussi Jaaskelainen may join Arsenal next month.

Of all the rumours so far this is the most ridiculous. Jussi, now 30, still has a year and a half left on his contract and is highly unlikely to want to move in January because of the chance to play in up to three major cup competitions.

I am certain that Sam Allardyce will not want him to leave The Reebok, having only let in 2 goals at home in this year’s Premiership competition. Jussi has been vital to Bolton’s success over the last few years.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a long-time admirer of Jussi, and no wonder. He has become a great ‘keeper, even Captain Nolan has proclaimed that Jussi is, “one of the best goalkeepers around, not only in the Premiership but in the world.”
