One Sided End to the 2005

This graphic from Soccernet.com illustrates just how overpowering Manchester United were today.

The stats on the same page showed that MU took 18 shots and Bolton manged just 4, the only good news is that both teams managed to get half on target (9 and 2 respectively). The most astonishing thing illustrated is where N’Gotty scored from! That is one hell of a shot!

So that is how The Wanderers ended the year, it could have been a better end but overall the season so far has been great. There has been a few terrible results I admit, Wigan away (twice), getting stuffed by Chelsea and Everton robbing points but to be 7th at this stage is not bad at all (although we should be on more than 31 points really).

Of course there is the terrific progress in Europe (via The UEFA Cup) too where each game edge The Trotters closer to the final in their first campaign in Europe.
