Fadiga Flames Allardyce
Bolton Wanderers midfielder Khalilou Fadiga has become the latest unhappy player at The Reebok and has criticised Sam Allardyce’s choice of tactics.
Here’s what the Senegalese player had to say:
“I’m no longer happy with the number of games I get and I went to see the manager about it.
“At the moment he prefers for us to hit long balls upfield, rather than using guys like me who can play a bit of football.”
The long-ball tactic that is sometimes employed by The Wanderers has been the main cause of a spat a criticism against the Bolton manager and now seldom played players are now joining the bandwagon of unjustified remarks.
Bolton’s style of football has, so far this season, been called ‘ugly’ and ‘boring’ and ‘too aggressive’ plus they’ve been accused of playing a less than entertaining game. No doubt there have been more derogatory phrases bounded across the media too.
Of course Allardyce does not give a toss about such comments but when one of his squad members starts surely something will be said.
Fadiga claims to have approached Big Sam with his concerns but what was the outcome? Fadiga’s statement suggests that he wasn’t happy with Sam’s response hence the cheap shot about the long-ball game.
Khalilou Fadiga joins Jussi Jaaskelainen, Jared Borgetti, Jay-Jay Okocha and Fabrice Fernandes (after being placed on the transfer list) in the winter of Wanderers discontent.
