Bolton Trial Iranian
Andranik Teymourian will be put on trial with The Wanderers according to the midfielder’s club Abo Moslem.
However this signing, if it goes that far, may be in doubt already because of Football Association rule about foreign players joining the English Premier League.
A club spokesman told The Asian Football Confederation,
“We received offers from several clubs in Qatar, Turkey, Bundesliga and Bolton, but we decided in favour of Bolton as they gave the highest offer. We also prefer to see him play with a European club.”
The news of interest in another midfielder after apparently letting Hamann go to Man City and Campo’s extended contract, seems to contradict the general consensus in the media that Sam Allardyce is concentrating his search for forwards and defenders. Maybe it is a sign that Bolton are looking for a bargain and the board are tightening the pursestrings.
However other transfer news includes the race for the signature of Barcelona striker, Javier Saviola, which suggests that lots of money to spend as insinuated by Big Sam in recent weeks.
Bolton will have to fight off interest in the Argentine from at least Arsenal and Panathinaikos. A move to Greece has more-or-less been shunned and Javier is said to prefer a move to England because of the higher quality of football. An Argentine praising the quality of English footy after this year’s World Cup is high praise indeed.
Bolton are also reported to be putting two Spanish players on trial, but there has been no confirmation from The Reebok.
