Andy O’Brien To Miss International Duty

Euro 2008Andy O’Brien will have to miss at least two international fixtures due to a kidney complaint. Republic of Ireland coach, Steve Staunton had included the defender in his squad on Monday ahead of matches against Germany and Cyprus.

Andy was to provide cover for Manchester United’s John O’Shea who had a dead leg now Alex Bruce of Ipswich is expected to take the denfeders’ role for the Euro 2008 qualifiers at Croke Park.
