3 Million Not Enough to Land a Swan

Swansea City Association Football Club badgeIt has been confirmed that Ferrie Bodde, the Dutch midfielder that Megson seemed desperate to bring to The Reebok, will be staying with Swansea City despite BWFC’s £3m bid. The news prompted a few comments on the This is South Wales website, two of which contradicted each other.

Great News , the guy is a class act, brings so much to our game, even if he wants to go in january, him playing well will be beneficial to us.

Owain James, Swansea

He’ll want to start playing to place himself in the shop window for January. Long term commitment I think not. The lad is trouble.

Of course this might not be the last time that we see Bolton and Bodde in the same sentence. Perhaps SCAFC are hoping that Bodde will prove himself before the next transfer window in January and hope to attract further interest despite the £5m price tag. Will Bolton boss Gary Megson still be interested after Christmas? We’ll see.

Until then Bolton Wanderers are still hoping for new signings before the summer transfer window closes on September 1st. Modeste M’bami, Aurélien Capoue and Miguel Ángel Angulo are thought to be on Megson’s shopping list.
