One Sided End to the 2005

This graphic from Soccernet.com illustrates just how overpowering Manchester United were today.
The stats on the same page showed that MU took 18 shots and Bolton manged just 4, the only good news is that both teams managed to get half on target (9 and 2 respectively). The most astonishing thing illustrated is where N’Gotty scored from! That is one hell of a shot!

As Ferguson whinged so much about The Trotters having a rest, Bolton decided to give them the upperhand early in the game. Bruno N’Gotty gave United the lead with an own goal which he neatly slotted into the bottom left from about 12 yards out.
Bolton battled but Manchester United really commanded the game with Rooney going close a couple of times.

Alex Ferguson Whines About BWFC
Following the cancellation of Bolton’s game against Middlesbrough on the Wednesday, Sir [huh!] Alex Funguson Ferguson has called for the Premiership bosses to punish The Wanderers, simply because he says that the cancelled game allowed BWFC to rest.
He fears that Bolton players will be fresher than his squad.
