Some Things Never Change
Here are a few comments by Sam Allardyce about the lack of funds during the transfer window.
“We’re still looking, but a tight budget is making life very difficult for me at the moment.
“Time is running out rapidly, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Sam continued:
“At the moment, I can’t say I’m that hopeful because I haven’t really got anybody who can fit within my budget.
“I’ve got plenty that can fit outside of it, that are too expensive for us at the minute, and that’s a major problem for me.
“Until the prices come down on the ones we’ve targeted, we won’t be getting them.”
Sounds familiar? Well that quote from the big man was from January 2003, like the title says, ’some things never change’.
