Website Problems and Changes

Over the last week or so you may have noticed that BWFC24 has been lacking in new content (and on some days not working at all). This was caused by technical difficulties and a loss of data, which has been resolved thankfully.

Currently work is being carried out to improve the website for the new season. This may mean that new news items may not be published as promptly as we would like, however that will change when the new season commences when BWFC24 will provide up-to-date news as stories break.

Sorry for any inconvenience and we hope you will join us in following The Wanderers in the 2006/07 Season.

Kind regards,
Chris

Fortune Faces Turf Moor Test

Having been impressed with former Manchester United player Quinton Fortune, Bolton boss Sam Allardyce wants to test his match fitness before offering a contract to sign. Therefore Fortune will be playing for Bolton against Burnley at Turf Moor this Saturday.

Allardyce told the official website:

“Once he has proved his fitness in the Burnley game I think the deal will be done and dusted. The lad’s not missed a day’s training so that’s good from his and my point of view.

“The football side of it needs to be put to bed on Saturday at Burnley.

“He’s a great guy and has a smashing personality. He’s also a very good footballer and under the circumstances I’ll be absolutely delighted to sign him.”

So it is looking likely that Quinton will be joining the Wanderers very soon, unless he picks up another injury, the sort that hindered his progress at Old Trafford.

Wandering About Strikers

Strikers : One In – One Out?

Javier Saviola is looking more likely to join Bolton Wanderers after his contract with Barcelona recently ran out. With several teams initially interested with the Argentine forward a move to The Reebok was looking doubtful. However, Arsenal have now stated that they are no longer interested which leaves BWFC and PSV the only clubs with a chance of getting the signature of World Cup scoring and Olympic Gold winning 24 year old.

Bolton may need to sign another striker as Mexican Jared Borgetti may be on the way out as Le Liga club Racing Santander who are prepared to give Borgetti more time on the pitch rather than the subs bench.
