Speed Joins Coaching Staff
Now that Sammy Lee has become Bolton’s manager he has given Gary Speed increased responsibility as the midfielder is now ‘First Team Player Coach‘ and will work along side Ricky Sbragia and Jimmy Philips. This move will please many supporters as Speedy has become a very popular midfielder during joining The Wanderers in 2004.
The Official BWFC website has been updated to reflect the recent changes (including Speed’s new role), however, the role of ‘Assistant Manager’ has ‘TBC‘ beside it. This does suggest that the position may be filled in the future, unless Top Cat [pictured right] has an embarrassing middle name that he has kept quiet over the decades.
