Kevin Davies and Matt Taylor Sign New Contracts with Wanderers

It was inevitable that Kevin Davies was going to extend his contract since he stated recently that he would happily continue at Bolton Wanderers until the end of his playing career.

“I hope that I can finish my career at Bolton. I am happy both on and off the pitch. It feels like home.”

Davies is signed with The Wanderers until the summer of 2012. Megson told the official Bolton website;

“I am really pleased that we could add another year to Kevin’s contract.

“He has been absolutely 100 per cent since I arrived. He is a great leader on and off the pitch – a modern-day professional footballer setting a great example and he is fully committed to Bolton Wanderers.”

Midfielder Matt Taylor has also signed a new deal. Bolton manager Megson praised Matt for his success last season via the official BWFC webiste;

“Matt is a hard working player who always gives his all. He scored 10 goals for us last season and is a big influence with his set–pieces and work–rate.

“He had a key role to play last season and will have again this season. He is another member of the squad who leads by example. He and his family are settled here and I’m sure he can go from strength to strength at the club.”

Matt’s new contract runs out in June 2012. Good luck to the pair of them.
