20 English Premier League Previews for the 2009–2010 Season

BWFC24’s round up of Premier League Previews for the 2009–2010 season which starts tomorrow, Saturday, August 15, 2009.

Overall, the predictions for The Wanderers is fairly grim, as you might expect. On average Bolton are expected to finish around 13th or 14th. Personally I think BWFC will finish higher than expected, hopefully in the top 10 and may reach the semi-finals in either the FA or Leauge Cup. However, do not be surprised if The Trotters are knocked out of the latter by old rivals Tranmere Rovers when Bolton take a trip to Prenton Park near the end of this month.

Feel free to add your predictions for BWFC in the comments.

Avoiding the Drop — Bolton

“The three defenders he’s brought in this Summer are professional and experienced. Sean Davis is an underrated midfielder who adds to the toughness of the squad.”

The Sportboys — BWFC

“I’m sure Bolton long for the days of Jay Jay Okocha or Youri Djorkaeff. There is no one of that ilk at the moment and I don’t see that changing whilst Megson is in charge. This is partly because he doesn’t put out teams with those sorts of player but also because he doesn’t have the personality to attract them in the first place.”

Soccer Lens — Season Preview

“The goals of Kevin Davies and an improved season from Johan Elmander will be crucial if The Trotters are again to steer clear of the threat of relegation.”
